Today I am going to tell you a story about my daughter Zora. She has a very bubbly and sweet personality. Always nice to the people she meets and generally seems care about everyone.
Anyways from a very young age she has always been fascinated with The Stars and has always wanted to get a closer look at them. One day she decided that in order to see them better she should try to get to The Moon as it appears to be much closer to them. However nice as she may be she’s not always too bright. Watch her first attempt at a moon launch.

Imagine an Online FPS.  Imagine you can play with thousands of other people, all over the world. Imagine it’s based on actual weapons that various military organizations use.  Imagine that your reward for playing is higher rank and therefore access to better and better weapons.  Imagine that you can band together with new buddies and old, form clans, take on others for glory, and all the while lam-blast your enemies and make strategies with your friends via a built in voice server. THEN imagine it’s free!

That’s what the good people at Nexon have done for us.  Combat ARMS is a FPS and a MMORPG all rolled into one, all for free, and it’s FUN.

PROS:Dur, it’s free! The graphics aren’t incredible, but neither are they bad – think somewhere around Halo 2 ish.  Very playable especially for slower computers.  It’s challenging – you need to play to get GP to level up (Recruit, Private, Sergent, etc.).  The more GP you get the better the gear, but watch out – you need to earn GP (the ‘money’ of the game) to buy your weapons and gear.  There’s multiple servers of different ability levels, many maps, all sorts of game modes, you can make your own room or join another game in progress. In short, it’s interactive, it’s fun, it’s challenging.  There are some really awesome people to be found too – have a chat before, after or during play.

Cons: Well, the problem is PEOPLE.  Some people take it way too seriously.  Some people go out and find hacks so they can beat you by cheating.  Others accuse you of hacking because obviously you cannot be better than them so if you kill them you’re a cheater.  That’s the problem when you get a bunch of 10 year olds (or people who have the mentality of 10 year olds) playing.

Of course, there is a paid element to the game. If you want all the best and most special gear, you have to purchase something they call NX, which you can use for said gear.  Hey, I don’t begrudge that at all. These guys operate a service which is an AWESOME game, for free, and you don’t need to pay to play it. But if you really get into it, then NX is what you should get.
